We can source and install a range of EV chargers, tailoring their suitability to different vehicle types and charging speeds, all based on what you need at your residential or commercial property.
The heat pump extracts heat from a heat source, which can be either the outside air (in the case of our air source heat pumps) or the ground (in the case of ground source heat pumps).
The refrigerant inside the heat pumps evaporates at a low temperature, absorbing heat from the heat source. This causes the refrigerant to turn into a gas.
An internal compressor increases the pressure of the refrigerant, raising its temperature significantly.
The hot, pressurised gas travels to the condenser where it releases heat to the desired area, such as your home or hot water system. As it releases heat, the refrigerant condenses back into a liquid state.
Finally, the liquid refrigerant passes through an expansion valve, reducing its pressure and temperature, preparing it to repeat the cycle.
The original “heat source” - such as the air outside - does not need to be especially warm in order for this process to work effectively. Heat pumps typically have a specified minimum operating temperature, often around -15°C. Below this temperature, the efficiency may decrease, and supplementary heating may be required.
Modern air source heat pumps have advanced technology, such as defrost cycles, that help them operate effectively in colder conditions.
During our initial consultation with you, we’ll assess the requirements of your property and help you choose the heat pump system will be most suitable for you. This will make sure that you benefit from as many of the savings and benefits as possible.
They can provide up to 3 units of heat for every 1 unit of electricity they consume, making them a cost-effective heating solution.
They’re versatile and can be installed in various settings, taking a matter of days to set up without disruptive excavation required for installation. They can also be retrofitted into existing heating systems.
By transferring heat rather than generating it, air source heat pumps require less energy compared to traditional heating systems resulting in lower energy bills and reduced carbon emissions.
In the UK, there are grants available for heat pumps as part of government initiatives to promote renewable energy adoption. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme allows homeowners to partially cover the expenses of replacing fossil fuel heating systems with heat pumps.
No matter where you are in your sustainability journey – whether you’re just starting to think about heat pumps or have decided it’s time to fit out your home – we're here to support you every step of the way.
If you decide that air source heat pump installation is the way to go, our qualified team of fitters will take the time to match you with the most suitable option, helping you to reduce money on your bills while benefitting from more sustainable energy.
We also offer more renewable energy options, from solar panel installation to electric vehicle charging stations.
