Your local experts for unvented water systems

An unvented water system, also known as a pressurised or sealed system, is a type of domestic hot water system that operates without a cold-water storage tank in the loft. These systems offer a more modern approach to water heating and distribution in buildings.

At DMA Property Solutions, we provide start-to-finish installation of unvented water systems in residential properties, offering a hassle-free way to revolutionise your hot water heating. We also offer a repair service if your existing water system isn’t working as it should.

We understand that each home is different, which is why we make sure to tailor our systems to meet the demands of each individual household, carefully fitting units that will function with the requirements and layout of your property.

Why install an unvented water system?

Higher water pressure

Unvented systems provide increased water pressure, resulting in better flow rates for showers and taps.

Space-saving design

Eliminates the need for a cold-water storage tank, freeing up valuable space in the loft.

Efficient operation

Improved heat transfer and distribution can lead to more efficient heating and delivery of hot water throughout the building.

How do unvented water systems work?

In a traditional vented system, cold water is stored in a tank located in the loft, and the hot water is heated in a separate cylinder, typically located in an airing cupboard. The water is then gravity-fed to the outlets, which means it relies on the force of gravity to distribute the water.

An unvented water system, on the other hand, doesn’t require a cold-water storage tank. Instead, it uses the mains water supply as the source of both hot and cold water. The system is pressurised, meaning that the water is stored under pressure in a dedicated cylinder that is often located in an airing cupboard or another convenient location.

There are several reasons to install unvented water systems, but they’re particularly useful in buildings that struggle with low pressure or want to free up space for a loft conversion. Additionally, because there’s no water storage, unvented systems are also useful in locations where freezing poses a risk to traditional systems.
